Bradbury Center Logo Redesign
For this project, representatives from the Bradbury Center in Indianapolis were brought in seeking a redesign of their logo. The whole class was to redesign the logo based on the wants and needs from the client, and the Center’s representatives would then choose one logo. The student who designed the logo would then also aid the Center in finishing the rebrand, redesigning their website and other promotional materials the Center needed in order to fully rebrand.
My design was not chosen, however I was very happy with how my logo turned out. Inspired by the science fiction theme of the logo at the time, as well as Ray Bradbury’s book “The Martian Chronicles”, I designed a logo that turns the “B” in Bradbury into a crescent moon. This logomark combines both motifs to create visual interest and call onto the futuristic and whimsical nature Bradbury often plays with in his own work, which I thought would represent the Center nicely. I’ve created the logo as both a standalone lettermark as well as a combination mark.
