World Wildlife Foundation Postcards

Created in the Graphic Design Professional Practice course, our projects were meant to simulate real life client scenarios. For this project, we were instructed to design a stamp sheet and postcard set for the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) that highlight endangered species. We had strict guidelines to follow in what the “client” was looking for, and graded on how well we achieved them. We also were graded on how well we utilized the limited space given for the information that was needed on the postcard. I illustrated the stamps and postcards in their totality.

I was heavily inspired by vintage art deco postcard and travel poster designs. I used phrases such as “wish you were here, but what about now?” and “here today, going to be here tomorrow” to serve as calls to action. On the backs of the postcards are information about the animal, whether it’s endangered/vulnerable, as well as a scannable QR code that takes the recipient to the WWF’s Call to Action page where they could donate or find more information on how to help the endangered species featured.
